Urban Health Plan is proud to have been selected by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as one of the nine projects demonstrating promising local arts and cultural approaches for addressing social connection, belonging, and mental health through the arts!
This NEA funding will help support the next phase of UHP’s #ArtsForEverybody initiative, an arts-based social prescribing program that fosters our commitment to engage our beloved patients and communities in arts-based activities such as art classes, exhibitions, live performances, as well as immersive experiences, making arts participation an integral part of healthcare delivery at our community health centers.
We are both humbled and excited to help advance NEA’s goal of integrating the arts with strategies that promote the well-being and resilience of people and communities!
